Best Newcomer at Marlborough Festival

Juncture, one of the bands promoted by SALUTEMUS in this year’s Marlborough International Jazz Festival have been voted ‘BEST NEWCOMER’.

With almost 100 different bands, some well known names and some, like JUNCTURE, new to the scene, playing over three days the Marlborough Festival is a major jazz event.


JUNCTURE’s music is influenced by jazz, rock and minimalism and involves considerable improvisation. These five exceptional musicians are either currently at or are graduates of London's prestigious jazz course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

With Henry Spencer on trumpet, Charlie Laffer on Guitar, Rob Brockway on piano, Nic Brakespeare on bass and Jon DesBruslais on drums and percussion, this promises to be a very exciting and innovative performance.

Members of the quintet have performed and worked with a large number renowned musicians and groups, including Jaqui Dankworth, Julian Joseph, Liane Carroll, Alan Skidmore, Laurence Cottle, Tony Haynes,Marvin Stamm, Henry Lowther, Adele, Aruba Red and numerous others.
